ThunderClan Camp

Splashfur noticed that Jaggerstar wasn't overly alert or aggressive, so the little she-cat relaxed as well, listening to the sounds of the forest. A cool breeze blew over the patrol and Splashfur glanced upwards at the tree's who's leaves were in the middle of changing color, soon they would fall and bring Bare-leaf with the fallen leaves. Splashfur hoped that this Bare-Leaf would pass smoothly.

As she her eyes almost saw the border her ears twitched, with paws moving quickly she redone the scent markers."let's rest here before we go back to camp, since we walked a good bit." Jaggerstar said. After lowering her body on the changed leaves which felt warn and comfortable," later I'll send a patrol out here to collect some leaves for our nest, since they make a good warm and comfort place to relax."

Splashfur pushed together a few leaves and curled up, a little purr of delight rose past her lips. Smiling the quiet she-cat glanced at Jaggerstar, and nodded "I can bring some back on our way as well if you want." She offered, thinking it might save a few trips anyway. A distant bird song echoed through the canopy of the trees, and Splashfur glanced towards the sound with interest.

Friskypelt watched as they went out on patrol. As he waited for their return, he was surprised Jaggerstar had not invited him to tag along. "She-cats..." He grumbled.

After taking a short rest the she cat got up and began to walk back the way they came. Her eyes cat the hungering patrol's with their mouths barely with another prey. She sight hoping that this bare leaf won't be as bad as the last one, as she approach the tunnel ducking swiftly she spotted Friskypelt and smiled." Hello Friskypelt." Jaggerstar said. "Didn't you hear me call your name for border patrol." She chuckled with amusement as the camp was nearly quiet with no sound.

Splashfur walked in silently after Jaggerstar nodding to Friskypelt, and deposited the leafs in several nests, starting with the elders. The camp was eerily quiet and Splashfur enjoyed it. Normally the loud camp could seem overwhelming to her, but this was nice. After finishing with the leaves she had, Splashfur padded back into the camp clearing to see if anyone was around she could chat with.

Friskypelt's expression turned to embarrassed. "Many tell me I sleep like a log!" He chuckled quietly.

She chuckled lightly with amusement"well you can join me on the even border patrol then." Jaggerstar said. She soon walked to her den to cover her nest with the leaves.

Splashfur didn't waste time lining her nest with the fall leaves. Happily she curled up listening to the way the crunched, before leaving the spare in a heap near the entrance to the warrior den. After surveying her work with an approving gaze, the little she-cat made her way out of camp and glanced around to see if anyone was around. Splashfur had half a mind to go hunting, but remembered she promised Fireheart she would go with him.

Fireheart pushed out of the den, brushing past Splashfur. "Mornin'." He said over his shoulder, stretching his muscles and flicking his tail. He strode straight towards the fresh kill pile, happy to see their was a plump rabbit there. He grabbed it and dragged it towards the center of clearing. "Care to join me for a hunt after this?" He called to Splashfur.

Splashfur nodded and called after him "Sure, I didn't forget!" She said, and sat down washing her fur, waiting for the tom to finish eating. Remembering the tom was from Riverclan, Splashfur wondered if he would be alright hunting in their territory, or if he would need help. The young warrior shrugged, she supposed she would find out soon enough.

Fireheart purred quietly, narrowing his eyes happily as he finished his meal. It felt warm in his stomach. Stretching with a yawn, he padded ocer to the she-cat. "Time for a fishing lesson." He purred. With that, he whisked his tail and went through the tunnel.

Splashfur's eyes widened as she followed him. "Fishing? As in involving water?" She asked nervously, her mind jolting back to when she had nearly drowned as a kit. She had been absolutely terrified of the water ever since, ironic because her name had been referring to water. "I mean, I can watch it's ok!" She said quickly trying to get out of water.

Fireheart purred in amusement and sympathy at Splashfur's scared tone. "She-cats, can't do anything toms can." He taunted her, twitching his whiskers. He shrugged and started for Sunning Rocks, acting as if he didn't care if Splashfur followed him.

Splashfur growled and trotted besides him "Absolutely untrue!" She argued a fire burning in her eyes. "She-cats and Tom's aren't better than the other based solely on that!" She flicked her ears in annoyance when he didn't answer and took to brooding silently. "Maybe I can do it... I just can't fall in." She thought trying to sooth her pathetically racing mind.

"Bet you can't." Fireheart sneered. He shot out of the gorse tunnel, heading to sunning rocks. If this was the only way to get to Splashfur, then so be it. -SR-

Following the tom, the she-cat's whiskers trembled subtly. They had approached the river at this point, and its gurgling waters brought back memories the poor cat would much sooner forget. Closing her eyes she could almost see her kit self, wailing and shrieking as the cold liquid filled her lungs, the terrifying moment she lost conscious, and how she had woken up in Riverclan, strange cat's hovering over her. She had gotten into so much trouble. The little she-cat padded forward and trying to push the shakiness out of her voice demanded "Fine. How do you fish?"
