ShadowClan Camp

"No." He purred, quite amused. "It looks fine." He still had a guarded look in his eyes as though he weren't sure the she-cat wanted to talk to him. Finishing the vole, he licked his whiskers and looked at the sky. He looked as if he were about to say something else, but his possible respinse was still guarded. "Time for patrol." He muttered instead.

Longstripe just gave a grunt and turned around. 'How could a friendship so easily fade away?' He wondered. He felt like wailing to the sky like a lost kit, but he was deputy. He could let the other cats think he was weak. -WC/SC B

Longstripe slid into camp. He felt light-geaded and dizzy so he decided to go see his sister, Darkshadow, the medicine cat. He left having taken some juniper to calm the headache and had been told to come back for poppyseeds if it didn't go away. He felt better now. Thank StarClan.

The deputy slipped into the warriors den for a nap. He caught a glimpse of Willowdance sitting by some ferns a purred before settling down in his nest. He liked the soft moss even though sometimes kt tickled his nose. He fell into a light, dreamless sleep.

Willowdance watched Longstripe enter the warriors den and smiled. Resting her head on her paws, the hat slipped down over her eyes. Closing them, she rested, not asleep but immobile. Her silver tail twitched lazily, and she purred quietly.

The deputy woke up and arched himself in a luxurious stretch. With a content sigh he padded out of the den. He saw Willowdance lazily twitching her tail, and skirted around her in a large semi-circle. Watchibg her tail, he aimed and pounced on the fluffy line of fur. He purred in amusement.

Willow's eyes shot open when her tail suddenly felt an unexpected weight on it. Pulling it away, she leapt up and confronted her tormentor. "Really Longstripe?" she grinned. "I was resting. But if thats the way its going to be..." She swiped his muzzle lightly with her forepaw.

Longstripe reared back. "Yes." He purred. He ducked away and pulled her front paw out from under her. "Whoops!" He teased. He waited for her next move, his tail lashing.

The black tom slipped to one side, letting Willowdance crash into the ground. His eyes glinted. "You've got to be faster than that." Then he stopped short. "Tired? Oh, okay. I'll leave you to rest." He turns and pads a bit away, and fixes his eyes on the warriors den.

As Sunhigh had come and gine, Longstripe prodded Willowdance hard in the side. Tigerfang had questioned his authority and ruffled his fur, giving him a moon of caring for the elders. "Wake up!" He snapped. "We don't want everycat thinking your dead or crazy." He growled.

"Nothing." He growled and tore the ground with his claws in frustration. "Why does it concern you?" He countered. He just glared at Willowdance, ashamed of himself for taking it out on her, but still angry about his authority questioned.

Longstripe opened his mouth to retort but no words came out. He watched as Wiowdance bounded away. 'You've got to sto this!' He yelled silently to himself."I know how." He said aloud. Looking around he said, "Goodbye." And left, guessing nobody cared where he went.

Willowdance looked back in confusion. Where was Longstripe going? Her curiosity took ahold of her and she bounded after him, eyes half closed.

Longstripe wandered into the camp. He still felt dazed but he wasn't sure why. Without self-conciously thinking, he sat down and waited fir Willowdance. He was getting accustomes to this, as she was really his only friend.

Willowdance trotted into camp and saw Longstripe sitting in the middle of the clearing. Padding over to him she sat down beside him. "Is something wrong Longstripe? You seem dazed."

Longstripe blinked. "Huh? What? Oh, no it's nothing..." he sighed. The Deputy wasn't almost entirely sure himself. "Enough about me, how are you doing?" He said with a smile.

"Huh? What? Oh, no it's nothing..." Willow shrugged. It had to be something. "I'm doing fine, but I'm a bit concerned about you. What happened at the river to make you like this?"
